The artists of the British record company EMI have decided to take action to help earthquake victims in Japan. They will raise funds for the Japanese Red Cross is providing support to victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, thanks to a global auction of personal items and memorabilia. For its part, EMI Group is committed to providing the equivalent of the proceeds from the sale, and that up to a million euros maximum.
This auction is organized for charitable purposes to eBay, and 150 of the biggest stars in the world have contributed. Among them, Daft Punk, David Guetta, Coldplay, Jane Birkin, Norah Jones, Katy Perry, Gorillaz, Iron Maiden, The Beach Boys, Keren Ann, Raphael, The Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Soprano, Julien Clerc, Alain Souchon, Charles Parker, Kylie Minogue and the Beatles.

Among the items offered for sale during the first phase of the auction, there is the jacket worn by Chris Martin during the Viva La Vida tour, the bag Hermes Birkin owned by Jane Birkin, a guitar autographed by Keren Ann, the teddy Soprano that is on the cover of her latest album, the NRJ Music Award given to Raphael in 2006, and a platinum Julien Clerc.
The Ferrari 412 of the 1987 film “Electroma” from Daft Punk, trampoline shaped cake used by Katy Perry during his current tour, a Schwinn bike limited edition Yellow Submarine Beatles, the gold records of Charles Aznavour, Alain Souchon and the MacBook used by David Guetta to create demos of “One Love” will be sold at auction the second phase (from April 11).
